Mebrat Gedfie Wondim
About
Dr. Mebrat Gedfie is an assistant professor of Education specializing in Inclusive Education at Debre Tabor University (DTU) in Ethiopia. He earned his PhD in Education (Inclusive Education) from Haramaya University in July 2021 and holds a master's degree in Health Psychology from Addis Ababa University, obtained in 2013. Dr. Mebrat joined Debre Tabor University in 2014 and has held various positions, including Institutional Quality Enhancement coordinator at DTU for over a year. He also served as the department head in the Early Childhood Care and Education department at DTU for a year and a half. Presently, he serves as the Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities college at DTU. He also served as a Guidance and counselor at Addis Berhan School, Addis Ababa city administration. Lastly, he served as an Itinerant Teacher (Mobile Professional) in a project named as SNE program in Ethiopia (Finland Government project) in collaboration with Ethiopian Ministry of Education. Dr. Mebrat actively engages in research and community service activities, resulting in scientific publications in reputable journals. He has also participated in numerous national research conferences, where he presented his research work. His research interests revolve around Inclusive Education, School-Parent partnership, Early Childhood Care and Education, and Psychosocial issues.
