The Institutional Transformation Executive (ITE) is one of the key executive bodies
of Debre Tabor University (DTU). It is dedicated to translating the government’s reform
agendas into action while ensuring that every office across the university
provides efficient, reliable, and customer-centered services that drive DTU’s overall
transformation. In this regard, the ITE developed the DTU Customers’ Charter in 2017 E.C.
The charter is now to be customized and adopted by every college, directorate, executive
unit and department during the 2018 E.C. to guide the delivery of quality services. It
primarily focuses on service standardization, encompassing the general services
offered throughout DTU. However, each office is encouraged to include additional
specific services relevant to its operations.
All service units are kindly advised to access the charter and adapt it to their respective
contexts, and deliver their services accordingly. At the end of the year, the ITE will
conduct a support and evaluation program, where the implementation of the
Customers’ Charter will be one of the core areas of assessment.
Furthermore, all DTU staff members are reminded that their mindset must reflect the
principle that “the customer is the king and always right.” Hence, every staff
member is expected to serve customers with dedication, respect, and excellence.
The continued existence and success of DTU depend on your prompt service
delivery, effective communication, professional competence, and positive
attitude.
Let us work together to make DTU a green, distinctive, and sustainable
transforming university.
Let discussion be our habit to solve problems, and training be our culture to bridge
gaps.
