
Training of Trainers Concludes at Debre Tabor University
Debre Tabor University successfully concluded a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) program aimed at enhancing the expertise of graduates from its Department of Sports Science. The training, held in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Office of the Amhara Region and the Volleyball Federation of Ethiopia, took place from February 7 to February 20.
The intensive program brought together sport experts from Debre Tabor University and South Gondar Zone, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge and best practices. Designed to bridge academic learning with practical application, the training sought to equip graduates with advanced coaching methodologies, ensuring they are well-prepared for professional endeavors in sports science.
Mr. Wubet Muluye, Head of the Department of Sports Science, emphasized the significance of such initiatives, stating that “Sports play a crucial role in cultivating a healthy society. It is imperative that we instill a scientific approach to sports, enabling sustainable physical and social well-being.”
Participants, particularly the graduating class, expressed appreciation, noting that the training has significantly enhanced their employment prospects. They hailed the initiative as a vital stepping stone toward professional growth and the broader development of Ethiopian sports.
