
DTU Hosts Final Round of Prestigious Moot Court Competition
Debre Tabor University, in collaboration with the South Gondar Zone High Court and the Justice Directorate of the Zonal Administration, successfully hosted the final round of its esteemed Moot Court Competition on March 27, 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Menberu Teshome, the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized that such competitions play a crucial role in nurturing competent and practice-oriented graduates. Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Abebe Adane, Dean of the School of Law, highlighted the invaluable real-world experience students gain through the competition, better preparing them for their professional careers.
Following an intense and highly competitive round, the judges named Zekaryas Nigussie as the best speaker. The organizers recognized outstanding participants by awarding monetary prizes to the first and second-place winners, as well as the Best Speaker. Additionally, certificates of recognition were presented to individuals who contributed to the competition’s success.
